Using Bit Defender Cleaner

Using Bit Defender Cleaner
To use this batch file, first extract all of the file's from the bdcleaner.zip file (any location will do). Then open delBD.bat in Notepad.

1. Change the paths to reflect the paths on your computer (if they're different to those in the batch file)
2. Remove the AvxScanOnline Control from the Downloaded Program Files folder

\Windows\Downloaded Program Files


Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options

Click the General tab, then the Settings button, and finally, the View Objects button.

Notes: Please also make sure you have changed the paths in the .bat file, to the paths that reflect your computer.

If your computer is in a language other than English, locate the Lang\_En and change _En to whatever yours is.

3. Run the batch file
4. Download and run RegCleaner to remove the registry entries that Bit Defender add's.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR 2000/XP/Server 2003 users

Before running this batch file, you must ensure you change the "deltree /y " line to "del " (without the quotes, but with the space) or you will run into problems.

Note: If you have not already done so, you MUST re-start your computer BEFORE doing the above!
