Q. Why doesn't the Tab key work?
A. This is due to the addition of multi-document support. I am currently working on resolving this for the next update.

In the meantime, you can get round this bug by holding the CTRL (Control) key whilst pressing the Tab key.

Q. Why does the text on the dialogs look funny?
A. This is most likely caused by your missing the font that is used in the program. The font we've used is the Microsoft Sans font, which can be found on the ACF Notes download page (listed under "Additional Files").

To correct this, download mssans.zip and extract the .ttf file to your Fonts folder (usually C:\Windows\Fonts where C is the drive you have Windows installed on).

Once the next full update is released, the font will be automatically installed during setup.

Note: if you are running Windows XP or above, you should already have this font

Note: this file is no longer required for those using version 1.1.7 or above

Q. Why am I receiving ACFN002 errors?
A. ACFN002 is an error that will occur when you try to open a file twice (i.e. when the file is already open). This is simply to prevent an error within the file tree as the same file cannot be added twice due to the way the file tree has been coded.

Q. How do I uninstall ACF Notes?
A. Full/Basic Install:

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

Update/Manual (no install):

Delete ACF Notes.exe
Delete ACF Notes.ini
Delete ACF NOTES_Errors.log (if exists)

Q. How do I associate ACF Notes with my files?
A. To associate ACF Notes with one of your file type's (i.e. .txt files), single left click one of the files you wish to associate, then hold the shift key and right click the file, then click "Open With".

If ACF Notes is not already in the list, click the Browse button to locate it, and make sure the "Always use this program...." box is ticked.
