Q. The hpHosts lookup extensions are not working?
A. This is due to the server that hosts the hpHosts Online website being moved. Newer versions of the AB Extension Pack contain an updated extension to correct this.

Ed: This has been fixed as of 1.2.0

Q. How do I add support for additional languages?
A. At present, only English and Russian language packs are available. To add extra languages, click the Settings > Language > Edit Language File menu, then translate the items in the file, into your language of choice.

If adding French, German, Italian or Spanish, save the file in the same folder as ABEP.exe with the name that corresponds to the language.

French: fr.lng
German: de.lng
Italian: it.lng
Spanish: se.lng

You can then select your language from the Languages menu. For all other languages, please send me the translated .lng file and I shall add support for it in the next update.

Q. "Dissect Selected Link" doesn't do anything?
A. This was an error on my part and will be corrected in the next update. In the meantime, to correct it yourself, change;

CreateObject("Shell.Application")

To;

CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

Q. What extensions are currently available?

Q. How do I selectively add/remove extensions once they are installed?
A. At present, the existing extensions must be uninstalled first, then the installer ran again. However, a utility is being worked on for the next release that will allow you to do this directly, without the need for uninstalling/re-installing.

NB: If you are simply adding extensions, rather than removing them, you can skip the uninstall and just run the installer again.

Note: version 1.1.3 now includes a beta release of the ABEP GUI (helper) utility that allows you to add/remove/modify extensions, without having to run the installer each time.

Q. How do I request an extension?
A. If an extension you would like to see is not already available in the pack, you may request the addition on the ABEP official requests thread;

http://forum.avantbrowser.com/viewtopic.php?t=17916

Q. Can I have my own extensions included in the pack?
A. You certainly can!. If you would like us to include extensions you have created, please send them along to us at:

abep_additions AT it-mate DOT co DOT uk

Note: If sending your extensions, please make sure to do so in a .zip file with any necessary documentation (readme, instructions etc).

NB: Replace AT with @ and DOT with .

Q. Which browsers does this pack support?
A. This pack will work with any webbrowser that uses the MenuExt registry key. This includes (but is not limited to);

Avant Browser
Internet Explorer
Maxthon
GreenBrowser

Along with many others.
