Symptoms
Error occurs when trying to Run <Program Name>
Component Comdlg32.ocx or one of it's dependancies not correctly registered: file is missing or invalid
Cause
This error usually occurs when Comdlg32.ocx is missing, or not registered on your computer.
Resolution
First verify the file is actually present. If it is, go to
1. Start > Run
2. Type: regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx
3. Re-start your computer
If the file is not present on your computer, you can go to the following website to download it;
OCX Files: http://freeware.it-mate.co.uk/?Cat=OCX_Files
DLL Files: www.dll-files.com
Once downloaded, extract the file to your System folder (System32 for Windows NT and above), then follow the steps above to register it.
Additional Information
Runtime Error 339 occurs with either of the following messages when trying to run <Program>
